How cheap can I get tickets for a yankees game sometime in the next couple weeks? I would scalp them. There is no way I am buying them off third parties online who selling them for ridiculous amounts. I don’t care where the seats are as long as I can get into the game. I have never been and would like to make it to the stadium before it’s gone.

What would George Castanza do if he were still working for the Yankees?

What would good old George do if he still worked for the Yankees as he did when on Seinfeld?

Let’s say that that since the Yankees appear in trouble, what would he do in the hopes of turning things around and look good in the eyes of Steinbrenner?

Rememeber his uniform idea?

I know that this is not a real life question , but would like to hear any and all answers.

New York Yankee Tickets 2009 - Get in Line

Micah Grimes asked:

Chamberlain is not going back to the bullpen. He is entrenched in the rotation, the Yankees keep saying, especially now that Chien-Ming Wang is injured.

Yankees in 2009 seem to be able to get back to spending huge amounts of money on their playing roster.

Are there any other major reshuffles? There are a range of players who can fill the pending gaps.

Appears like it just isn’t ok the Manhattan Yankees evaded settlement this year by signing Chien-Ming Wang to a $5 million contract for one year. Turns out these three have added their name to a catalogue of more than a hundred players who have salary arbitration filings.

Maybe $3.35 million bucks in a year just does not go as far as it should. Though Nady’s on the roster for Spring Coaching , it seems there was no big rush to deal Nick Swisher or Nady.

If you don’t know what all the commotion is about, right at the trade deadline, 30-year old Nady joined the Yankees last season and was just about an overnite hit, or should we say hitter? Straight off, Nady batted.

They sayall good things come to an end and they might be right because Bruney’s stroke of good luck came to an end when he suffered an injury to his left foot after striking out 33 in 34 1/3 innings and walking sixteen in just 32 appearances during last season. After a stint in rehabilitation, Bruney came back in August and earned $725,000 for the year. Bruney will be 27 in February.

But it is not age that is a factor when it comes to talent because it isn’t. But the youngest of the ********* to join the arbitration merry go round is 24-year old Cabrera who popped up and out of the gate on Opening Day as the center fielder but managed to get demoted to Triple-A after an aggrevatedly offensive season. For batting .249 with 37 RBIs and 8 home runs out of 129 games played, Cabrera brought home $461,200 last year.

The Yankees managed a win over Wang last year when right-handed Wang sought $4.6 million but was paid $4 million instead. January 20 will mark the occasion when the exchange of salary arbitration figures takes place.

New York Yankee tickets 2009 can be obtained from a variety of sources. Steinbrenner Field with a nice mixture of both home and away games beginning on March 1 and lasting the entire month with a game every night apart from March 12 and March 25.

Sounds like there’s going to be rather a bit going on with the Yankee tickets 2009 both inside and outside the cages.

Cheap Yankees Tickets

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009
Thomas Whaley asked:

With the opening of New Yankee Stadium in 2009, the prices for tickets and parking took quite a jump. In fact, the Yankees had to drastically cut prices on some of their premium seating because nobody was buying it. Who is going to pay over $2,000 per seat to watch the Yankees play the Royals?

The good news is you can still afford to buy tickets at New Yankee Stadium, you just need to have a plan. I am also going to tell you the best place to “splurge” on tickets if you want to spend a little more, but not $2,000 per seat more.

1. Bleachers are your friend

The bleachers have a downside of being separate from the rest of the stadium, so you are confined to that area. However if you have been to the stadium before you may not feel the need to walk around the concourses. The big advantage of the bleachers is that the tickets are $14 each, which is almost half the cost of the next cheapest ticket. If you sit in the right field bleachers, you are a little closer to the action than you would be in left. You can also participate in a Yankee Stadium tradition of “role call” where the fans chant each starter’s name until the player waves in the direction of the bleachers. You will have an intense fan experience for not a lot of money.

2. Plan Ahead for Ticket Specials

The Yanks are offering ticket specials at New Yankee Stadium which include; Tuesday discounts, $5 games, and family packs. Expect similar specials to continue for years to come. If you visit the ticket specials page of the Yankees website, you will see a full list of potential discounts. You can also sign up for a free email newsletter that will send you notices of discounts on Yankees tickets.

If your biggest goal is to just get out and see the new stadium, it will pay off if you plan ahead. Anyone of the specials I mentioned are good if you purchase in advance or at the window. The Yankees tickets are in high demand so it may make sense to purchase ahead of time rather than getting stuck.

3. Splurge Wisely

I mentioned $14 bleacher seats, but after that ticket prices shoot up quickly. My next best recommendation for value tickets at the New Yankee Stadium would be the $29 seats in the grandstand behind home plate. You have a wonderful view of the action, which is much better than more expensive seats down the lines on lower levels. You should try to sit in the first 5 rows of the grandstand, this will minimize the number of people walking up and down the aisles blocking your view. I have more details on general guidelines for finding the best view at a ballpark on the ticket section of my website.

If you are going to step it up a little bit, try Main level 226 which has $90 tickets. I know that is high, but you are almost even with 3rd base, and you are sitting right behind people who paid about $225 a piece for tickets. Every price range between the grandstand and certain Main level tickets just isn’t worth it in my opinion.

Hopefully these tips are helpful, wherever you sit I hope you enjoy your first trip to the New Yankee Stadium.

What will happen to Red Sox/Yankees fans if a salary cap is ever put in place?

seahawksblitz8 asked:

Will they bandwagon from team to team or stay loyal? My guess is that at least half of all Yankees fans are bandwagoneers, almost as bad for the Red Sox.

I mean you look at these people and they are so accustomed to winning that it’s going to be a rude awakening.

Thoughts?

After waiting in a 5 1/2 hour rain, the whole lower deck was empty which prompted the Yankees to allow the remaining fans in the upper deck to come down closer to the game. What did you think about that?

What exactly is Joe Girardi trying to accomplish by eliminating candy from the Yankees’ clubhouse?

I just heard another story on ESPN about Girardi taking all the candy out of the Yankees’ clubhouse…and I’m just wondering (this is a totally serious question) what is he trying to accomplish? Is he thinking that cutting out candy bars will inspire the Yankees to win?
