Red Sox vs Yankees Rivaly why no one cares because it spring training ?
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008(hec) Pedroia A.L MVP asked:
Ok I Know it’s spring training but shouldn’t every time the Bosox and Yanks play against each other be a highly anticipated game even if it’s just a spring traning game? Is anyone here exicted to wacth the Red Sox and Yanks face off in about 10 min? Think about the history these 2 teams have against each other. It’s the bigest rivaly in Baseball, who cares if it is just a spring training game.

3 Reasons You Need to Buy New York Yankees Tickets and Experience a Piece of History
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008Bill Chatterly asked:
The 2008 baseball season is starting to wind down, and so is the chance to buy New York Yankees tickets and see a game at one of the most storied baseball stadiums in the world. Here are five reasons why every baseball fan should catch a game before Yankee Stadium is gone forever.
1. A chance to experience a piece of American history
Baseball is a sport rooted in America, and Yankee Stadium is one of the oldest professional baseball parks in America. The first game was played in 1923, a 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. **** Ruth was the first to hit a homerun in the stadium during the inaugural game.
The 85-year old ballpark has seen its share of memorable games, and has housed some of the greatest players in the history of baseball. **** Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris…the list goes on and on. When you sit in the stands at Yankee Stadium you feel as if you’re now a part of that history.
2. A chance to see the 2008 Yankees make a push for the playoffs
The 2008 Yankees got off to a slow start, but throughout the season they have been playing stronger and moving up the standings. They still have a long way to go, and have to hurdle some of the toughest teams in baseball, but they are an experienced team with the talent to make a run at the playoffs. There’s still a chance to see them live, but only if you buy New York Yankees tickets soon. Here’s the remaining home schedule for the 2008 Yankees:
July 28 - Baltimore Orioles
July 29 - Baltimore Orioles
July 30 - Baltimore Orioles
July 31 - LA Angels
August 1 - LA Angels
August 2 - LA Angels
August 3 - LA Angels
August 15 - Kansas City Royals
August 16 - Kansas City Royals
August 17 - Kansas City Royals
August 26 - Boston Red Sox
August 27 - Boston Red Sox
August 28 - Boston Red Sox
August 29 - Toronto Blue Jays
August 30 - Toronto Blue Jays
August 31 - Toronto Blue Jays
September 12 - Tampa Bay Devil Rays
September 13 - Tampa Bay Devil Rays
September 14 - Tampa Bay Devil Rays
September 15 - Chicago White Sox
September 16 - Chicago White Sox
September 17 - Chicago White Sox
September 18 - Chicago White Sox
September 19 - Baltimore Orioles
September 20 - Baltimore Orioles
September 21 - Baltimore Orioles
3. It can be a tough find, but there are easy ways to buy New York Yankees tickets
Though time is running out on the 2008 season, and there are tons of fans trying to make it to one last game at Yankee Stadium, there are still opportunities to buy New York Yankees tickets from reputable sites. Just be sure when looking at the different auctions that you check who you’re buying the tickets from. Most auction sites provide a user-tracking system that allows you to see the history of everything they’ve sold. Be careful not to buy from sellers you are unsure about. That being said, there are far more honest sellers than dishonest ones.
So buy those New York Yankees tickets when you get the chance and see a part of baseball history! I hope to see you at a game!

Which was the greatest Major League Baseball team of all time?
Saturday, November 22nd, 2008wyldfyr asked:
Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig’s Yankees? Joe DiMaggio’s? Or how about the Yankees of the sixties with Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris? I kind of like the Oakland A’s of the seventies. I despised the Big Red Machine with Pete Rose but you had to respect them. The current Yankees have some great players but they just don’t seem to work as a team. Who was the greatest? Who did I miss?

My Yankees are down by a 1 1/2 games. My question is: How do they come up with the 1/2 game?
Saturday, November 22nd, 2008Why the Yankees will Continue to be the most popular team in the Nation
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008Ally White asked:
The New York Yankees ended the annual trade acquiring a couple of more huge contracts. They signed outfielder Bobby Abreu and pitcher Cory Lidle, the hopes are that these two can help them get to October. This brought to light the problems that the Yankees had and they were definitely desperate for pitching. The Yankees took on Abreu’s hefty contract, hoping he can help them catch first-place Boston in the AL East.
In return they gave up a couple of slay players that no one seems to be worried about. The Yankees sent the Phillies 20-year-old minor-league shortstop C.J. Henry and 27-year-old left-handed reliever Matt Smith. The Phillies also received minor league catcher Jesus Sanchez and right-hander Carlos Monasterios, while the Yankees took on responsibility for Abreu and Lidle’s contracts.
Abreu could have exercised his no-trade clause and killed the deal and any team expecting to acquire Abreu would have to pick up his $16 million option for 2008 in order for a trade to go through. However, the Yankees wanted Abreu under the expectation that they would be paying only the $22 million owed on his deal through 2007 and told the Phillies to negotiate any deal required to waive the no-trade clause.
For the Yankees new player this all turned out to be a pretty good deal just think that he is making $13.5 million this year and is owed $15.5 million next season. He has a club option for $16 million in 2008 with a $2 million buyout. Abreu’s arrival to the Yankees could mean Sheffield won’t return to New York next year. The Yankees hold a $13 million option on his contract for 2007.
The Yankees are the most popular franchise in the MLB for one simple reason the directives run the most aggressive money-making franchise. What some may think is as loading up on players without regard to money. Buying Abreu only shows that they are not afraid to reinvest into the on-field product, which in turn produces more money to be reinvested.
